Personal Information Collected
At our Site, we only collect Personally Identifiable Information when voluntarily and knowingly submitted by a visitor. You can have general access to our Site and browse pages describing our organization without providing any personal information or being required to register at our Site. To gain access to certain resources, you will be required to register and provide personal information. This information will not be sold to a third-party. If you choose to make a donation to Primary Source or register for a course, whether by telephone, postal mail, or this Site, we will collect certain required financial information from you (such as your credit card information if you choose to submit your donation in that manner, and the donation amount).
Online donations are processed by a third-party service provider and you should read the section below entitled “Links and Third Party Websites” and familiarize yourself with the privacy terms of all such non-Primary Source sites before using them.
Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act
We comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (“COPPA”). COPPA requires that website operators never knowingly request personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13 without requesting verifiable parental consent.
In accordance with COPPA, we do not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. We recommend that no one under the age of 18 submit personally identifiable information to our Site. In the event that we determine that a user of this Site is under the age of 13, we will not maintain or use his or her personally identifiable information. We will then delete any such Personally Identifiable Information from our records.
Information You Might Submit to Primary Source
By visiting our Site, you may have the opportunity to request information from Primary Source, in which case an email or other contact information may be required in order to allow us to comply with your request, and for other purposes as may be disclosed at the time the request is made. If you request information from Primary Source or make a donation to Primary Source, we may add your email address or other contact information to our mailing list and contact you from time to time. If at any time you would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails, we include detailed unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of each email.
How We Use the Information Submitted
We will use the Personally Identifiable Information you submit (i) to send you materials or information that you have requested, (ii) to notify you of other communications that may be of interest to you, (iii) to process donations, and (iv) as otherwise described in this Policy.
Disclosure of and Access to Your Information
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others rights, property, or safety. However, non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.
We may disclose to third parties aggregate statistics regarding donations but these statistics do not include any personally identifying information. The information given includes: total number of donors, total amount of donations for specific periods of time, and referring websites. Aggregate information of this kind is used to encourage fundraising partnerships.
We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you make a donation or register for a course online.
We offer the use of a secure server. All supplied sensitive/credit information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our Database to be only accessed by those authorized with special access rights to our systems, and are required to keep the information confidential.
Links and Third Party Websites
This Policy applies solely to information collected by the Site. The Site contains hyperlinks or “links” to other sites, including access to content, products and services of our affiliated and non-affiliated sites. For example, online donations to Primary Source are facilitated by our non-affiliated service provider. When you follow links to make such a donation, you will be linked to our service provider’s website, which is subject to separate privacy and other terms and conditions. In some cases, these other websites are made available via “framing technology”, and may appear to be part of our Site. We urge you to familiarize yourself with the individual privacy and other terms for each linked or framed site prior to submitting any Personally Identifiable Information. We are not responsible for the data collection, privacy and information sharing policies and procedures or the content of such websites.
Changes to this Policy
We will post any material changes to this policy on this page. After the changes take effect, all current and new information will be subject to the terms of the revised Policy. Your access to or use of the Site following a change to the Policy shall be deemed to be your consent to the revised Policy.
Non-information and data may be automatically collected by our Site through the use of “cookies.” “Cookies” are small pieces of data sent to your computer browser from our web server and stored on your computer’s hard drive. The data identifies you as a unique user and facilitates your ongoing access to and use of the Site. Cookies may be used by us to, among other things, recognize repeat visitors, frequency of visitor use, and usage behavior.
